Robert Half Senior Financial Analyst in Lansing, Michigan
Description
We are looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst for our global manufacturing organization. The ideal Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for developing financial models, conducting benchmarking and process analysis, designing and preparing detailed reports, and assisting with budget and forecasting activities. This role requires the ability to perform strategic data analysis and research where you'll be working with cross-functional teams including sales, supply chain, and operations. This Senior Financial Analyst role is hybrid and offers a great deal of flexibility.
Responsibilities:
Anticipate, track, and analyze key financial metrics and trends using data analysis and interpretation.
Develop complex financial models to help guide the organization’s financial strategic decision-making activities.
Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis related to the company’s performance, variances, and trends.
Partner with various business units to provide insightful, data-driven strategic recommendations.
Prepare comprehensive management reporting packages and commentary for senior management.
Drive process improvements in financial systems for increased accuracy and efficiency.
Participate in cross-functional projects, and assist with other ad hoc reporting and analytics projects.
Identify cost saving opportunities and efficiencies within the organization.
Comply with and manage internal controls and audit requirements to ensure conformity with globally accepted accounting practices.

Requirements
• Proven experience in financial analysis in the manufacturing industry
• Proficient in Data Mining Techniques
• Solid understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience in Budget Processes and Capital Management
• Ability to prepare Annual Forecasts
• Familiarity with Budgeting and Forecasting techniques
• Proficient in KPI Reporting and Variance Analysis
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
