Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Laporte, Texas
Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in the Marine industry, based in LaPorte, Texas. This role involves assisting the Accounting team in various tasks, including processing and managing Accounts Payable Invoices and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process customer credit applications
• Maintain precise customer credit records
• Assist in creating and entering purchase orders for all Accounts Payable Invoices
• Use accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for data entry and invoice processing
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for maintaining and updating financial data
• Perform account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Collaborate with the Accounting team to handle accounts receivable and billing processes
• Monitor customer accounts regularly and take necessary actions based on account status
• Ensure all accounting tasks are performed in compliance with the industry standards. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Billing procedures
• Strong Data Entry skills
• Proficiency in Invoice Processing
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Oracle software
• Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software
• Experience with SAP software
• Prior experience in the Marine industry is preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proven ability to work in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
