Robert Half Director of Finance & HR in Larkspur, California

Description

We are in the service industry, located in Larkspur, California, United States, and we're seeking a Director of Finance & HR. This role entails leading the Finance and Human Resources department, supervising the full-time Accounting Manager, and working towards modernizing and automating processes and systems to improve efficiency. The workplace is 100% onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the chart of accounts, general ledger, and financial management systems

• Supervise the full-time Accounting Manager and work closely with the Chief Financial and Operating Officer

• Lead the Finance and HR departments, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on work

• Modernize and automate legacy processes and systems to improve efficiency

• Maintain a respectful and supportive workplace that cultivates a culture of inclusion

• Clearly and concisely explain finance and HR policies and procedures to employees and trustees

• Negotiate favorable terms with contracted services and outside vendors

• Utilize various accounting software systems, including Sage and Microsoft Excel, to manage financial tasks

• Conduct cash flow analysis, prepare financial statements, and manage month-end reports

• Ensure compliance with State and Federal employment-related regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a finance role

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems, Sage 50, Microsoft Excel, and CRM

• Experience with ADP -payroll

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions such as General Ledger, Journal Entries, Bank Reconciliations, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Account Reconciliation

• Expertise in Auditing, Budget Processes, Capital Management, Cash Flow Analysis, and Cash Flow Forecasts

• Skillful in handling Fixed Asset Ledger, Month-end Close Activities, Month-end Financial, and Month-end Reports

• Knowledge of '3M' and CapEx is preferred

• Ability to manage and lead a team, with strong communication and leadership skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field is required, an MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred

• Professional accreditation such as CPA, CMA, or CFA is a plus

• Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels

• Proven track record of driving financial results and making strategic recommendations based on financial analysis

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
