Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Las Vegas, Nevada
Description With an immediate opening available for a diligent, strong Accounting Manager, Robert Half is seeking an individual who is eager to work for a growing, industry-leading company. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for leading daily operations such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. The ideal candidate should be able to establish and scale company accounting and finance operations. Located in the Las Vegas, Nevada area, this Accounting Manager position would be on a permanent basis.
How you will make an impact
Assist in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, including system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration
Collaborate with FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics, including monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Prepare various technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures
Lead and encourage the full accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure deadlines are met
Regularly review and inspect balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant
Possess a working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes Requirements - Demonstrated technology and analytical abilities
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Customer service oriented communication skills that allow for pleasant and beneficial interactions with all customers
Wide ranging experience with Monthly Close
Earlier work involving Monthly Financial Close
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
Comprehension of Monthly Financials
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
QuickBooks experience desired
Skills in Monthly Financial Statements
Quality experience with Monthly Bank Reconciliation
Previous experience working with Monthly Financial Reports
Good understanding of Monthly Financial Reporting
Well-founded grasp of Monthly Balance Sheet
Quickbooks Online experience required
Payroll experience highly desired
General familiarity with Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Proven knowledge of Payroll Taxes
Practical knowledge of Monthly Bank
Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
CPA or MBA preferred
5+ years of recent relevant financial experience
