Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Las Vegas, Nevada
Description We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity in the gaming industry. As an Accounting Manager/Supervisor, you will oversee operational aspects of the accounting department, manage various accounting functions, and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage overall accounting operations including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), payroll, budgeting, audit, tax, purchasing, and inventory.
• Develop and maintain financial databases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems using Sage Intacct and other accounting software systems.
• Implement changes in systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of reporting.
• Coordinate audit activities and implement audit recommendations.
• Establish and monitor policies and procedures that minimize risks and enhance operational controls.
• Analyze trends, budget variances, and performance against the financial plan and advise on the handling of both routine and complex financial transactions.
• Provide leadership to the accounting department to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and ensure all reporting deadlines are met.
• Continually review working accounting practices and processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Familiarity with Concur software
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems
• Ability to perform all Accounting Functions
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proven ability in Auditing
• Experience in Billing Functions
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct software
• Experience in Accounting Management is essential
