Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the commercial real estate investment industry based in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role involves managing both accounts payable and receivable, organizing taxation notices, assisting with special projects, and being a backup for the Director of Accounting.
Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable: Approve and post invoices, keep track of payments, and maintain organized records for auditing purposes.
• Handle accounts receivable: Create and send invoices to customers, ensure timely receipt of payments.
• Organize and submit taxation notices to external Tax Accountants, manage payments accordingly.
• Act as a backup for the Director of Accounting, stepping in when necessary.
• Assist with special projects on an as-needed basis.
• Improve and implement efficient approval and filing processes.
• Develop and implement a better documentation process to ease auditing.
• Record corporate credit card transactions on a large scale.
• Interface with executive leadership and peers to present ideas and collaborate on initiatives.
• Utilize your skills in 'Account Reconciliation', 'Accounts Payable (AP)', 'Check Runs', 'Coding Invoices', 'Data Entry', 'Invoice Processing', 'Microsoft Excel', 'Oracle', 'QuickBooks', and 'SAP'.
Requirements
• Minimum of three years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar
• Proficiency in account reconciliation and accounts payable (AP)
• Experience with check runs and coding invoices
• Strong data entry skills and the ability to process invoices accurately
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Oracle Netsuite and QuickBooks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
