Robert Half is currently seeking a Director of Human Resources for a Healthcare organization in Las Vegas!

The Director of Human Resources formulates and supervises programs relative to selection, training, promotion, welfare, and other employer/employee relationships. Interviews job applicants; develops personnel record forms; adjust disputes and grievances and recommends necessary disciplinary actions; analyzes, classifies and evaluates jobs. Administers employee welfare and recreation services, and serves as an adviser to executive staff in personnel implications of policies, programs, and proposed organization changes.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree or Higher

Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to successfully provide HR support to c-suite level employees

  • The ideal candidate will be be well-versed in all functions of HR:

  • Compliance/ accreditation surveys – hospitals are heavily regulated and so they should have the ability to remain up-to-date with compliance matters and accreditation requirements. Hospital is accredited by DNV and knowledge of DNV standards is a plus. Should a candidate have experience with Joint Commission / JACHO

  • Labor and employment relations – arguably one of the most important items experience wise needed for the HR Director to be successful in this role. There is a high-volume of employee relations matters and the incumbent must be able to roll up their sleeves and lead investigations all the way through resolution. We do not have unions, but union and labor relations is a plus.

  • Recruitment and retention – should have ability to develop and implement retention strategies and lead an onsite recruiter with recruitment strategies.

  • Benefits and comp – should have experience leading such functions, but this is not a large portion of the role. Benefits are standard and comp is designated to certain individuals at corporate

  • The ideal candidate will have ability / desire to lead a team as they will manage the HR dept which consists of two HR Coordinator, Recruiter, HR Generalist

  • The ideal candidate will have ability to work within a matrixed reporting structure as they’ll report immediately to the c-suite onsite, but will have a strong dotted line to our Regional HR Director and our Vice President of Human Resources.
