Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Las Vegas, Nevada

Description

Robert Half is hiring a Full Charge Bookkeeper for our client, a mid-size tax and bookkeeping firm providing comprehensive financial services to a diverse portfolio of businesses. The work environment is casual yet professional, emphasizing teamwork, innovation, and a commitment to excellence. This is a full time, permanent placement position. The prospective candidate will be responsible for managing the full cycle of accounting duties including transaction processing, preparing and maintaining financial records, handling payroll, quarterly taxes, managing budget and cash flow, and producing financial reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of bookkeeping including transaction entries, posting debits and credits, producing financial statements, and recording all transactions.

  • Proficiently operate QuickBooks Desktop system for entries, adjustments, and reporting.

  • Handle all aspects of payroll, including regular processing, taxation, and reporting.

  • Support the preparation and processing of quarterly and yearly tax returns.

  • Conduct monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts.

  • Create sales tax reports and submit timely payments.

  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports reflecting P& L, cash flows, and balance sheet accounts.

  • Assess and interpret complex financial information to assist in business decisions.

  • Collaborate with management and offer suggestions for policy formulation and revisions.

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws in all financial and tax reporting.

  • Assist in internal and external auditing procedures.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a full charge bookkeeper.

  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop is essential.

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures.

  • Familiarity with payroll, sales tax processes, and reporting.

  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
