Robert Half International Full Charge Bookkeeper in Las Vegas, Nevada


Our client in the Hospitality industry is looking for a dynamic Full Charge Bookkeeper to join their staff. In this role, the Full Charge Bookkeeper will direct journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, payroll, and bank reconciliations. The clerical staff will be managed by the Full Charge Bookkeeper. Self-driven and organized accounting professionals might be interested in this Bookkeeper role if they thrive under tight deadlines with minimal supervision. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Las Vegas, Nevada area.

Major responsibilities

  • Produce monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

  • Mark budget transfers

  • Accomplished in credit card management and reconciliation

  • Catalog sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

  • Sustain Accounts Payable

  • Supply cash flow projections, as needed

  • Arrange subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

  • Operate monthly accounting close

  • Additional special projects if necessary

  • Administrate Accounts Receivable

  • Clarify business license and gross receipts

  • Fashion cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.

Requirements - Significant accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred

  • 3+ years of related experience- Highly organized and self-motivated

    • Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

    • Be detailed, flexible, and organized

    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

    • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

    • Demonstrated ability to implement solutions, strong analytical and communication skills as well

    • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred

    • Vow to meet business deadlines

    • Experience with Treasury Activities

    • Strong familiarity with general ledger

    • Proven knowledge of Form 1099

    • Command of Accounts Payable (AP)

    • General familiarity with Sage 100

    • Comprehensive knowledge of full charge bookkeeping

    • Well-founded grasp of Full Cycle Payroll

    • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel

    • Journal entries experience
