Description
Job Description: As an Information Security Engineer you will play a pivotal role in protecting corporate information and IT infrastructure. You will leverage your extensive experience in information security to design, implement, and maintain security measures, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data. Your proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security threats will be crucial in maintaining our robust security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive enterprise information security program to ensure the protection of data, systems, and networks.
Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and address security gaps.
Implement and manage security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus solutions, and encryption protocols.
Monitor security alerts and coordinate response efforts to security incidents and breaches.
Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with IT and business units to integrate security controls into system development life cycles.
Conduct security awareness training and education programs for employees to promote a culture of security.
Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies to ensure the company's defenses are current and effective.
Assist in the preparation and execution of audits and compliance reviews.
Provide technical security advice and guidance to IT projects and initiatives.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security within a corporate environment.
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS).
Proven experience with security technologies and tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection).
Excellent understanding of network security, encryption, authentication, and access control mechanisms.
Hands-on experience with cloud security solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think like an attacker to anticipate and mitigate security threats.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
