Description
Robert Half is working with an exciting sports company that is looking to bring on an IT Director. This role will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and management of all IT systems, infrastructure, and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate with the operation leadership and key vendors on technology in the massive venue
Provide strategic direction for office and site technology
Work with key vendors and parent company technology and cybersecurity teams to ensure a highly secure technology environment
Work with partners on technology for permanent exhibits within the building and provide on-site support for the exhibits
Support A/V and IPTV and network connectivity needs for temporary events
Provide LED and video wall support
Evaluate and mitigate any open identified pre-event technology risks
Promoter IT Lead for the event
Coordinate with the VP of Event and SVP of Event Operations and with key vendors on temporary event technology strategy, design, installation, monitoring, and removal
Provide strategic input into how technology can be leveraged to enhance the fan experience during event weekend
Coordinate with and assist IT and cybersecurity on all applicable event-weekend, prep, and wrap up needs
Working with the VP of Event Operations coordinate with telecom service providers on circuit installation
Support temporary event staff IT needs.
Identify and work with third parties to ensure highly available and redundant infrastructure for the event
Event week and related preparations will require significant work outside 8am – 5pm work week
User and Office support
Coordinate with IT as needed on access requests, desktop software stack, cloud services, etc.
In consultation with IT and information security, provide strategic direction for office & warehouse technology
Develop Program management & Salesforce utilization across executive, operational, commercial and GPP work groups
Manage the technology support staff for end user support needs in the Main Building and offices/warehouse
Serve as point of escalation for IT support and employees for IT related items
Vendor Management and Procurement
Procure technology equipment and services
Responsible for vendor management, including ensuring vendors are meeting defined SLAs
Technical Areas of Responsibility:
Manage the IT technology staff, including IT support and AV support
Manage End User support, including IT Hardware- Laptops, Desktops, Mobile Phones, Peripherals, Printers, Moves/Adds and Changes
AV needs/requirements – work with management and 3rd parties to device AV strategy; manage AV staff
Azure AD - Account Maintenance – Job titles, group membership and name changes
Oversight of the permanent and temporary network and system equipment
Procurement and Vendor Management for both permanent technology and temporary event technology
Software Support – Salesforce, MS 365 Office Suite, Windows OS, Mac OS, Docusign, Adobe, CAD
IT Process Management – Change, Incident and Problem Management plus appropriate escalation
Requirements
Qualifications:
8 or more years of experience in IT, with 3 or more years of experience at a Manager level
Experience supporting Microsoft office user environments
Excellent customer service skills
Experience managing vendors and 3rd parties in a very fast paced, high visibility environment
Bachelor’s degree in a technology field or equivalent experience
3 or more years of experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure
Experience with IT infrastructure in a live event environment is strongly desired
