Robert Half Senior Accountant in Las Vegas, Nevada

Description We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is in the gaming manufacturing industry and offers a short term contract employment opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing audit workpapers, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and reclassifying miscoded invoices. Your expertise in account reconciliation, general ledger, and audit preparation will be critical to your success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

• Reclassify miscoded invoices to their correct general ledger accounts.

• Prepare audit workpapers for initial fieldwork in anticipation of the 2024 audit.

• Update the payroll schedule for 2024 as part of the audit preparation process.

• Provide additional support as necessary for audit readiness, which may include posting unapplied payments and updating roll-forward schedules.

• Use Sage Accounting Software and Sage MAS 500 to add serial numbers and maintain accurate records.

• Ensure all monthly balance sheet reconciliations are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to create journal entries and assist with month-end close.

• Review balance sheets and provide support workpapers as required.

• Utilize your skills in bank reconciliations to ensure all financial transactions are accounted for and properly recorded. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as an accountant or in a similar role

• Skilled in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Proficiency in General Ledger management and Journal Entries

• Demonstrable expertise in using Microsoft Excel for financial tasks

• Experience in Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with Sage Accounting Software and Sage MAS 500

• Experience in Audit Prep, Audit Workpapers, and Supporting Workpapers

• Must be capable of performing Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reviews

• Knowledge of Roll Forwards in the accounting process

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required

• Professional certification such as CPA is a plus.
