Description
We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the hospitality industry, based in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing financial statements, preparing journal entries, and providing assistance to other accountants in the team.
Responsibilities:
• Review and verify financial statements for accuracy and compliance with GAAP Accounting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring they are correct and complete.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliation and prepare trial balance.
• Assist Staff Accountants with their tasks, providing guidance and resolving any issues or problems they may encounter.
• Review and adjust incorrect accounting entries for assigned divisions.
• Manage the general ledger and ensure all entries are up-to-date and accurate.
• Handle fixed assets and amortization schedules.
• Manage various expense accruals such as payroll and accounts payable.
• Maintain intermediate skills with 10-key, MS Office, G/L financial system applications.
• Ensure professional communication in English, both written and spoken.

Requirements • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Sr. Accountant role within the hospitality industry.
• Proficiency in General Ledger and Journal Entries is required.
• Solid understanding and experience with GAAP Accounting is essential.
• Must have experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
• Ability to Prepare Trial Balance and work with Trial Balance is necessary.
• Experience in managing Fixed Assets is crucial.
• Proficiency in Amortization calculations and Accruals is required.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are important.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Experience with accounting software is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure are necessary.
• Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask are required.
• Must have a strong ethical framework and unquestionable integrity.
