This is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity in the Las Vegas, Nevada area, at a company where effort is rewarded. To succeed in this role, you will need to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. If you think you can participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, this role might be right for you. We're looking for people who have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.
How you will make an impact
Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation
Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management
Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable
In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll

Requirements - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills
2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation experience
Journal entries experience preferred
Strong familiarity with Bank Account Reconciliation
Monthly Financial Statements experience
Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP Accounting
Adeptness in QuickBooks
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
