Robert Half Staff Accountant in Las Vegas, Nevada
Robert Half is looking for a Staff Accountant for a permanent opportunity. In this position, the Staff Accountant prepares journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, various aspects of internal reporting will be under your responsibility. Lend your skills towards developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will take part in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and look over schedules for the reporting processes. This position is very complex as it plays a part in the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Your responsibilities in this role
· Reconcile and analyze GL accounts including bank accounts, accounts receivable, pre-paid’ s, accounts payable, accrued liabilities, deferred revenue accounts and other accounts as required
· Analyze, process, and reconcile cash-related transactions to monthly bank reconciliations and financial reports.
· Prepare and input journal entries and determine appropriate accruals to be made monthly.
· Monitor fixed asset activity in detail and input into accounting module for automatic depreciation generation.
· Prepare audit and related roll forward schedules.
· Ensure compliance with department policies and procedures
· Perform other accounting or general office duties as requested.

Requirements - Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation experience
Expertise in Ad Hoc Analysis
Foundational knowledge in Monthly Close
Well-founded grasp of financial reporting
Strong familiarity with Journal Entry Preparation
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne experience
Proven knowledge of Bank Account Reconciliation
ERP system experience
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
