Description
Are you a meticulous and organized individual with a passion for numbers and a keen eye for accuracy? We are looking for a talented Staff Accountant to be an integral part of our finance team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization by reconciling and leveling general ledger accounts. You'll be the problem-solver, diving into account discrepancies and conducting thorough research to ensure our records are flawlessly aligned.
Key Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant
Reconciling and Leveling: Take charge of the general ledger accounts, ensuring they are meticulously reconciled and balanced. Your attention to detail will ensure that financial data is accurate and trustworthy.
Account Discrepancies: Uncover the root causes of any discrepancies in accounts and apply your analytical skills to rectify them. Your precision will be the cornerstone of our financial integrity.
Audit Facilitation: Work closely with the audit team, both for operational and financial audits. Your preparedness and cooperation will be vital in facilitating smooth audit fieldwork.
Data Logging: Log, organize, and manage financial data, maintaining comprehensive records that contribute to informed decision-making.
Journal Entries: Prepare accurate and timely monthly journal entries, ensuring that financial transactions are correctly recorded.
Special Projects: Collaborate with the team on special projects, leveraging your financial acumen to drive success in cross-functional initiatives.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Strong analytical skills and an innate ability to spot discrepancies.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy.
Prior experience in audit facilitation is a plus.
