Robert Half Systems Analyst in Las Vegas, Nevada
Description We are offering a contract-to-hire opportunity for a Systems Analyst in Las Vegas, Nevada. The successful candidate will join our IT team, focusing on supporting and enhancing the Oracle Point of Sale (POS) application and operations. This role involves coordinating with team members and end-users to facilitate the effective implementation and support of IT-related projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate meetings with IT team members and end users to discuss requirements, issues, planning, training, and operation needs
• Develop, maintain, and implement test plans, training plans, deployment plans, and policy and procedures documentation
• Oversee all Oracle Micros POS configurations and menu modifications, as well as the setup and support of related hardware
• Utilize experience with Oracle Simphony in the Cloud to enhance system performance
• Set up and configure the Oracle Micros Kitchen Display System (KDS)
• Collaborate with POS vendors to address and resolve issues
• Provide comprehensive support during and after the installation of upgrades and release updates
• Work closely with POS business owners to identify and enhance business processes within the Oracle POS application, ensuring timely and thorough communication between IT and POS stakeholders
• Train and support team members in managing and troubleshooting the Oracle POS application
• Leverage skills in Database, Microsoft, Business Requirement Document, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Oracle, MICROS Systems OPERA Property Management System, and POS - Point of Sale Requirements • Role requires at least 1 year of experience as a Systems Analyst.
• Proficiency in Database and Microsoft is necessary.
• Familiarity with Business Requirement Document is a must.
• Basic knowledge of Computer Hardware is required.
• Experience with Configuration Management is preferred.
• Candidates should have some experience working with Oracle.
• Understanding of MICROS Systems OPERA Property Management System is beneficial.
• Experience with POS - Point of Sale systems is preferred.
• Must be able to work collaboratively with team members.
• Strong problem-solving skills are necessary.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously is a must.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
