Description Are you a Bookkeeper interested in the Non-Profit industry and working closely with colleagues? Robert Half has an opportunity with a well-respected company. This Bookkeeper position would be a great fit for someone with prior A/P, A/R, General ledger, and financial reporting experience. This long-term contract / contract to permanent position is a great opportunity for a Bookkeeper who wants to work in the Latham, New York area.
Responsibilities
Reconcile accounts by rectifying entries
Produce financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
Examine payments received and record deposits
Uphold quality historical records by filing documents
Maintain accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
Conduct and manage the general ledger
Oversee and maintain a well-run system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; define bookkeeping policies and procedures

Previous experience as a Bookkeeper preferred
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Bank Deposit experience
Experience with Cash Deposits
Proficiency in check processing
BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred
