Description
Title: Senior Accountant
Industry: Manufacturing
Comp: $80k-$95k
Schedule: in-office 5x with some flexibility for occasional WFH after proven
Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Senior Accountant to join them. Candidates should have experience in general accounting, month end close processes, fixed assets, audit support, financial reporting, and variance analysis. Manufacturing experience is a big plus.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, providing insights into financial performance and variances
• Conduct detailed financial analysis, including profitability, cash flow, and variance analysis, to support strategic decision-making
• Bank and general ledger account reconciliation
• Preparation of journal entries and month-end close support
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Maintain and update general ledger as needed
• Apply cost accounting methods to achieve financial objectives
• Team player willing to learn multiple roles to serve as backup when needed (AR, AP, etc.)
Requirements
• Must possess at least 3 years of experience in a staff or senior accountant role or similar
• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations is necessary
• Experience with general ledger and journal entries is required
• Must have strong skills in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge and experience in month-end close procedures is essential
• Familiarity with the manufacturing industry is preferred
• Understanding of cost accounting principles is preferred
• A relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification is required
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
