Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Lawrence, Kansas

Description

We are in search of an efficient and meticulous Accounting Clerk to join our team in Lawrence, Kansas. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in managing our customer credit applications, maintaining precise customer credit records, and handling customer credit inquiries. The successful applicant will also manage customer credit accounts and take appropriate steps to collect delinquent payments. Responsibilities:

• Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency

• Keep up-to-date customer credit records

• Handle customer credit inquiries and resolve them promptly

• Monitor customer credit accounts regularly

• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Manage the movement of insurance portfolios, including adding and deleting policies

• Track the movement of policies diligently

• Handle debit and credit memos in an insurance agency environment

• Utilize basic accounting skills to perform job duties effectively

• Think on your feet to solve problems and make decisions quickly

• Utilize AMS360 for portfolio management

• Provide excellent customer service in all interactions

• Have knowledge of Property Casualty Insurance, Debit Memo, and Debits.

Requirements • Proficient in using AMS360 software for accounting tasks

• Experience in portfolio management, demonstrating ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

• Knowledge of Property Casualty Insurance, enabling accurate processing of insurance-related transactions

• Exceptional customer service skills, ensuring client satisfaction and retention

• Familiarity with Debit Memo and Credit Memo, facilitating correct account adjustments

• Proven ability to handle debits and credits accurately, ensuring balanced books

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective team collaboration and client interactions

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in all tasks

• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills, ability to resolve issues promptly and effectively

• Familiarity with standard office software and equipment

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred

• Professional certification in accounting or related field is a plus.
