Description

We are in search of a Medical Billing/Claims/Collections professional to join our team based in Southeast, Indiana. This role involves handling and processing appeals related to service or coverage denials in the healthcare industry. This is a long-term contract employment opportunity that requires skills in areas like EHR System, Accounts Receivable (AR), Appeals, Authorizations, Benefit Functions, Billing Functions, Claim Denials, and Denial Codes.

Responsibilities:

• Review and process appeals related to service or coverage denials, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of policies, regulations, and specific circumstances for each case.

• Develop and maintain accurate records documenting appeal decisions and communicate outcomes to enrollees and providers.

• Validate disputes presented on Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and escalate payment/variance trends to management.

• Develop and write standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline and improve the billing and claims process.

• Maintain a thorough understanding of denial codes and their implications on billing functions.

• Leverage skills in the EHR System to manage and update customer records.

• Handle authorizations and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

• Perform accounts receivable tasks, including managing claim denials and billing functions.

• Utilize your knowledge in benefit functions to ensure accurate and timely processing of claims and collections.

Requirements • Must have 3+ years of experience in Medical Billing/Claims/Collections

• Proficiency in EHR (Electronic Health Records) System is required

• Extensive knowledge in Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential

• Experience in handling Appeals is necessary

• Must be adept in dealing with Authorizations

• Proficiency in Benefit Functions is required

• Must be experienced in Billing Functions

• Ability to handle Claim Denials is important

• Knowledge of Denial Codes is necessary

• Must be able to work in a team and also independently

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required

• Must be detail-oriented and able to multitask

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite is preferred

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
