Robert Half Payroll Administrator in Lawrenceville, New Jersey

Description

As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for accurately processing and managing payroll transactions for our organization. Your primary duties will include calculating wages, overtime, deductions, and commissions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and maintaining accurate records of employee payroll data. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with HR personnel and other departments to resolve any payroll-related issues and discrepancies.

Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for all employees accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Calculate wages, overtime, deductions, and commissions based on relevant agreements, contracts, and laws.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.

  • Maintain accurate records of employee payroll data, including personal information, time worked, taxes, and deductions.

  • Process and administer employee benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary deductions.

  • Address and resolve any payroll-related inquiries or discrepancies from employees.

  • Collaborate with HR personnel to ensure accurate employee data and seamless onboarding and offboarding processes.

  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as needed.

  • Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and laws and implement necessary adjustments to payroll processes and procedures.

  • Assist with special payroll projects and initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of payroll experience

    • FPC or CPP will be vital

    • Accomplished in processing liens, various withholdings, and garnishments

    • Qualified in HRIS system and high proficiency with spreadsheets
