Robert Half Software Engineer in Lawrenceville, New Jersey

Description We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in the banking industry at our location in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. This role primarily involves coding, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting software related issues. You will be expected to actively participate in the Agile process and provide support to end-users as necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a user-friendly interface in line with user experience standards

• Write clean, efficient code and perform code reviews to ensure software quality standards are met

• Troubleshoot and debug software issues as they arise

• Research the effectiveness of current technical resources, identify potential performance improvements, and implement solutions

• Support the team's development workflow and respond to requests for assistance from the development team

• Participate in application audits and reviews to enhance the reliability and efficiency of application development

• Continually improve software development knowledge and skills by learning new technologies and programming languages

• Attend meetings to discuss the development of the software and contribute new ideas

• Organize and prepare documentation for new features and provide a wide range of support for live applications

• Develop, manage, and maintain development tools and resources for use by development teams on multiple projects. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in a software engineering role within the banking industry

• Proficiency in Android Development, Atlassian Jira, Backend Development, and Bug Tracking is required

• Strong knowledge of programming languages, particularly C++, is essential

• Experience in AB Testing, Agile Scrum methodologies, and API Development is highly desirable

• Must have a solid understanding of ASP.NET and CSS for web development

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required

• Must possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
