Description Our reputable client is seeking a Director of Finance to join the company. The director of finance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills in order to be a part of the management team. This may be the role for you if you are an experienced VP/Director of Finance looking for a challenging role at an established company.
How you will make an impact
Hire and train employees, especially finance staff, and manage retention
Oversee insurance and risk management
Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts
Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions
Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance
Supervise all financial reporting preparation
Oversee daily operations of the finance and accounting department
Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives
Comply with all budgetary reporting requirements, including local, state, and federal
Manage the operating procedures of the department, including short- and long-range goals, objectives, and policies- Analyze monthly operating performance against budget
Maintains and reviews budgeting and forecasting models
Direct, review, and prepare budget management and financial planning functions
Collaborate with department managers to develop five-year business plans Requirements - Knowledge of financial and accounting reporting systems
MBA or CPA is preferred
Very detail oriented and expert analytical thinking skills
10+ years of accounting and finance experience
Possess strong Microsoft Excel skills
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
