Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Lebanon, Indiana
Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position as an Accounts Payable Specialist in the construction industry, located in Lebanon, Indiana. In this in-office role, you'll be responsible for various tasks from processing vendor invoices to managing payroll, ensuring accuracy at all times.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure accuracy in entering and paying vendor invoices on a weekly basis
• Monitor and process transport tickets related to hours for correct billing
• Confirm haul tonnages for precision
• Ensure Certificates of Insurance (COIs) are updated and on file
• Oversee and maintain subcontractor agreements
• Manage payroll using Quickbooks (QB), ensuring timecards are correctly entered and monitored
• Track employee vacation times, CDLs, and physicals using Excel spreadsheets and alert individuals about any impending expiration dates
• Employ SAGE 100 for accounting purposes. Requirements • Proficient in Account Coding and capable of accurately categorizing expenses.
• Extensive experience with Accounting Software Systems, including Sage 100.
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems and their application in accounts payable.
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions, particularly within the construction/contractor industry.
• Demonstrated experience with Accounts Payable (AP) operations and procedures.
• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting principles and practices.
• Ability to handle Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.
• Experienced in managing Payable Invoices, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Capable of entering Vendor Invoices into the accounting system with precision.
• Proven track record of processing Vendor Invoices, ensuring all charges are correct and approved.
• Ability to handle all aspects of Vendor Invoices, from receipt to payment.
• Responsible for ensuring timely Vendor Payment to maintain good relationships and avoid penalties.
• Skilled in reconciling Vendor Statements, identifying any discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.
