Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Lebanon, Tennessee

To succeed in this role, you will need to match, batch and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. The Accounts Payable Clerk role will be situated in the Lebanon, Tennessee area and is a permanent employment. You can advance your career with this exciting opportunity.

Major responsibilities

  • Implement full-cycle A/P

  • Provide customer service to internal business partners

  • Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time

  • Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks

  • Carry out additional projects as required

  • Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

  • Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily

  • Assist with internal and external audits as needed

  • Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office Suites

  • General familiarity with Enter Invoices

  • Practical knowledge of Post Invoices

  • Comprehension of Prioritize Workload

  • Earlier work involving Microsoft

  • Skills in Basic Bookkeeping

  • Wide ranging experience with Purchase Orders

  • Process Vendor Invoices experience

  • Well-founded grasp of Invoice

  • Quality experience with Prepare Invoices

  • Strong familiarity with Multiple Vendors

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Knowledge of Enter Vendor Invoices

  • Previous experience working with Analytical Skills

  • Experience with Reconcile Vendor Statements

  • Proven knowledge of data entry

  • Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

  • Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

  • 1+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
