Robert Half Bookkeeper in Lebanon, Tennessee
Description We are in search of a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in Lebanon, Tennessee. This role involves managing all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Keeping accurate records of financial transactions through data entry
• Managing accounts payable and receivable
• Conducting monthly bank reconciliations
• Ensuring timely payment of expenses by verifying and completing payable transactions
• Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
• Completing month-end close procedures
• Utilizing Microsoft Excel to track and analyze data
• Maintaining client confidence and protecting operations by keeping financial information confidential
• Complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions
• Contributing to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is needed.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.
• Capability to conduct Bank Reconciliations is a must.
• Proficient in Data Entry tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
• Experience with Month End Close activities is required.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
