Description We are in search of an Accounting Manager/Supervisor based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The role involves overseeing the company's financial reporting activities, including invoicing, accounts receivable and month-end processes. The successful candidate will work closely with the Business Development and Project Management teams and will play a crucial role in maintaining a robust revenue tracking system.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations and closing processes at the end of each period.

• Supervise a team of billing specialists, cash application specialist, and Senior Accounting Specialist.

• Manage the process of accounts receivable from invoicing to collection, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Oversee the process of accounts payable from invoice entry to payment completion.

• Monitor accounts receivable & accounts payable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.

• Work closely with business development, billing specialists, and project management teams to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.

• Establish and maintain effective credit and collection policies and procedures.

• Review customer payment trends and identify opportunities for process improvements.

• Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status and performance for management review.

• Assist in the preparation of revenue forecast and complete accrued revenue entry on a monthly basis.

• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.

• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to accounts receivable and accounts payable management.

• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, including but not limited to tax.

• Maintain a strong internal control environment and utilize best practices while striving for continuous improvement. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role or related accounting field.

• Proficient in accounting functions including but not limited to budgeting, financial reporting, and tax compliance.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.

• Previous experience in auditing is essential.

• Should have experience in billing functions.

• Proficiency in SAP is necessary.

• Must have experience in month-end close procedures.

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.

• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines is required.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices is necessary.

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
