We are offering an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented Sr. Accountant in Lenexa, Kansas. The role involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial operations, providing strategic insights to support business decision-making, and managing financial reporting. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.

• Oversee general ledger activities, including creating journal entries and account reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, providing variance analysis and insights to support financial planning.

• Conduct cost accounting activities, analyzing manufacturing costs, variances, and profitability to optimize operational efficiency.

• Monitor inventory transactions, reconcile inventory accounts, and perform periodic inventory audits to ensure accuracy.

• Perform financial analysis to identify trends, assess financial performance, and provide actionable management insights.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax filings, and internal control procedures.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency enhancements, and automation within the finance function.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, sales, and procurement to support business objectives and initiatives.

• Support special projects, financial audits, and other ad-hoc assignments as required.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of three years of experience in a senior accountant role or similar.

• Demonstrated proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.

• Ability to handle general ledger operations and journal entries.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with month-end close procedures.

• Capable of preparing detailed financial reporting and conducting financial analysis.

• Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting processes.

• Proficient in variance analysis and reconciliations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.

• Capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

• Familiarity with accounting software and systems.

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
