Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Leola, Pennsylvania

Description We are seeking an individual to join our team as an Accounting Clerk in Denver, Pennsylvania. This role will involve managing and organizing financial records, executing billing procedures, and performing numeric data entry tasks. This position provides a long-term contract employment opportunity within the telecom industry.

Responsibilities:

• Check, verify, and process invoices to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

• Prepare payments for signature, ensuring all necessary documentation is attached and correct.

• Sort, code, and enter accounts payable data into the financial system.

• Analyze discrepancies and unpaid invoices, conducting thorough investigations and resolving any issues.

• Prepare and submit customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner.

• Code, post, and receipt payments, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records, updating information as necessary.

• Process customer credit applications, evaluating financial information to determine creditworthiness.

• Monitor customer credit accounts, identifying delinquent payments and taking appropriate action to collect these.

• Utilize skills in Billing and Numeric Data Entry to efficiently manage and organize financial information.

• Proficiency in Billing and Invoicing procedures

• Strong competency in Data Entry with a focus on numeric data

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work for timely completion

• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Good knowledge of accounting principles and regulations

• Proficiency in using accounting software tools

• Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High degree of professionalism and ethical standards

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred.
