Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in Lewisville, Texas
Description We are offering the role of an Accounts Receivable Specialist, located in Lewisville, Texas. This role is within the telecom provider industry, where the selected candidate will be expected to manage customer credit applications, maintain records, and resolve credit inquiries. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, providing the potential for long-term career growth.
Responsibilities
• Administer incoming payments, including cheques, ACH and credit card payments.
• Oversee daily invoicing and issuance of credit memos in a timely manner.
• Record customer payments in the appropriate accounts, and identify and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Communicate with sales and claims teams to resolve disputes and invoice issues with customers.
• Monitor accounts receivable and take appropriate actions to collect overdue payments.
• Ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of credit and collections activities.
• Release orders for shipping as per company protocol.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage data and generate reports on outstanding balances, credit applications, and collection activity.
• Perform other related duties as assigned, ensuring smooth operation of the accounts receivable function. Requirements • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or similar role
• Strong knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques (e.g., sending statements)
• Familiarity with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Sage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential
• Excellent mathematical skills and an understanding of data privacy standards
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage financial records
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
