Robert Half Assistant Controller in Lewisville, Texas
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Controller in Lewisville, Texas. As an integral part of the finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the accounting functions within the organization, ensuring compliance with GAAP. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of corporate financial and statutory reporting processes, and the ability to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and ensure all accounting procedures and practices are in line with GAAP
• Prepare materials for external auditors and coordinate with them during the auditing process
• Supervise the preparation and evaluation of financial operating reports, presenting findings and recommendations to the senior management team
• Oversee the preparation and review of journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Conduct corporate financial and statutory reporting processes
• Supervise the preparation of general ledger reconciliations and perform account analysis
• Review and analyze accounting records in preparation for the issuance of financial statements
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual close functions, ensuring all transactions are booked in a timely manner and in accordance with GAAP
• Direct and integrate changes in processes into the accounting systems and accounting cycle
• Review contracts to ensure billing and revenue are recorded accurately. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is desirable
• Familiarity with Concur software is beneficial
• Knowledge of Crystal Reports is advantageous
• Understanding of DCAA regulations is essential
• Ability to perform Accounting Functions effectively
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is needed
• Skills in Auditing are necessary
• Ability to manage Billing Functions efficiently is required
