Robert Half Internal Auditor in Lewisville, Texas

Description We are recruiting for an Internal Auditor in the construction industry, based in Lewisville, Texas. This role involves conducting internal audits, maintaining internal controls, and complying with SOX regulations. The successful candidate will interact with various departments and project teams, and will have the opportunity to effect change within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct and support the testing of key business process and entity level controls for management's assessment of SOX 404

• Meet with control owners to understand and request evidence for control operation

• Gather and evaluate populations for completeness and create workpapers to document testing performed and conclusions reached

• Coordinate and communicate with the Internal Audit team and business leadership

• Test compliance of established internal control procedures and document findings and conclusions in test workpapers

• Communicate with business process owners and assist in the documentation of risks, controls, and processes

• Assist in identifying opportunities for improving internal controls over financial reporting

• Work with process owners to assist in the design and implementation of new controls and best practices

• Perform timely follow-up with clients to ensure that agreed-upon action plans have been implemented

• Assist external auditors as required and at the direction of the Internal Audit Manager Requirements • Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in auditing or a related field

• Proficiency in accounting software systems is required

• Demonstrated knowledge of audit programs

• Familiarity with accounting functions and principles

• Ability to effectively communicate audit findings

• Experience in conducting audits and creating audit plans

• Understanding of SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and regulations

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must adhere to ethical standards and demonstrate professional integrity

• Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and developments

• Must be legally authorized to work in the specified country.
