Robert Half is working with a fast-growing medical company in Lewisville that is looking for a Medical Scheduler for their Lewisville location. This person will primarily sit in their Lewisville office and occasionally in their Plano office. In this role you will be working Monday-Friday from 845am-4:30pm and will need to be flexible to work in the Plano office. This company is needing someone with a background working in a medical office, hospital, and or as a medical receptionist. Receive and enter data for new or current patient records and documentation.
Contact team members and administrative employees to obtain and maintain current information according to Company policy and state and federal regulations.
Reschedule existing patients.
Prepare clinical records for new patients/existing patients upon receipt of a referral.
File incoming documents daily.
Maintain a control procedure for active patient files.
Maintain a tracking system to ensure clinical records are current according to Company policy and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with the Intake/Ins Authorization department.
Maintain availability lists and complete/accurate schedules, including frequency and duration of services as identified in plan of care and under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator or designee.
Update schedules as changes occur and follow up with any identified deficiencies in the scheduling process.
Ensure that the patient has proper labs/test/orders, etc. prior to infusion and enter info in the Lab Beacon
Prepare pre-infusion check list criteria. Verify that patient is appropriate for their scheduled infusion.
Follow-up with referral source: requesting new orders, monitoring receipt of signed verbal orders, and follow-up communication
Minimum of 2 years of medical scheduling or medical receptionist
Experience in a medical office scheduling patients a plus.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational, oral and written communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-pace enviornemnt
Must have knowledge in the medica and healthcare industry
