Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Lexington, Kentucky
Description If you are an Accounting Clerk wanting to work in the construction/contractor industry, you won't want to miss this excellent opportunity from Robert Half. The Accounting Clerk will chiefly be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire position located in the Lexington-fayette, Kentucky area.
What you get to do every single day
Assist Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
Contribute to Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt
Harmonize discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
Organize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
Report financial facts to journals and ledgerst
Compose statements and reports that require utilization of a wide collection of sources
Companywide accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects Requirements - Accurate, swift, data entry abilities
1+ years of relevant experience
Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of numeric data entry
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
Spreadsheet and ERP system experience recommended
Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds
