We are on the lookout for an Accounting Manager to join our Central Kentucky client. This role is responsible for :

Key Responsibilities:

  • Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor staff accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure departmental goals are met.

  • Reconciliation: Oversee the preparation and review of account reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.

  • Cash Accounting: Manage cash accounting activities, including cash flow analysis, bank reconciliations, and cash forecasting.

  • Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.

  • Internal Controls: Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial records.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to support overall business objectives and provide financial insights for decision-making.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
