Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Lexington, Kentucky
Description We are offering a contract to hire opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky. This role involves supporting our accounting team, which usually comprises more than five staff members, working as part of a team of three. The clerk will perform various accounting support tasks, including filing, vendor setup, handling invoices, and credit card reconciliation, among other duties.
Responsibilities:
• Support the accounting office in various tasks
• Handle vendor setup and digital records maintenance
• Assist in accounts payable tasks
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and proprietary engineering software for various tasks
• Handle a high volume of invoices
• Perform credit card reconciliation and receipt tracking
• Provide other various accounting support to the team as needed Requirements • Understanding of accounting principles, particularly in relation to Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with accounting entries
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to handle credit card reconciliation and credit card receipts
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
• Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
