Our Client, a leading firm in the central Kentucky area , is seeking a dedicated Staff Auditor to join our dynamic team. As a Staff Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our financial records and processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients and gain valuable experience in auditing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Audits: Execute financial, operational, and compliance audits according to established standards and procedures.

  • Evaluate Controls: Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.

  • Review Documentation: Review financial statements, reports, and supporting documentation to verify accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Perform Testing: Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures to validate financial information and detect anomalies or irregularities.

  • Communicate Findings: Prepare clear and concise audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and corrective actions for management review and decision-making.

  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and compliance, to address audit findings and implement solutions.

  • Stay Updated: Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends in auditing practices to maintain relevance and ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CIA certification preferred.

  • 1-3 years of experience in auditing, accounting, or related field.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and audit software (e.g., ACL, IDEA).

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to interpret complex financial data.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Commitment to upholding professional ethics and integrity in all aspects of work.

Requirements
