Description
Robert Half is looking for an Art Fari Event Coordinator.
Role Responsibilities:
Develop a comprehensive project plan and timeline for each event, indicating milestones, deadlines, dependencies, and contingencies.
Coordinate with exhibition vendors, artists, and service providers to ensure a smoothly running event.
Manage event budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising on the quality of the experience.
Conduct regular site visits and liaise with venue owners/managers for arrangement details.
Lead in the design, setup, and teardown process of each event.
Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the event effectively to its audience.
Troubleshoot and solve problems immediately during the event as they occur.
Conduct post-event evaluations and report the outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Previous experience (2-5 years) in an event management role, preferably in art fairs/exhibitions.
A degree in Art Management, Event Management, Marketing, or related fields is preferred.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with vendors, artists, service providers, and attendees.
Strong organizational skills to manage complex logistics and solve problems under pressure.
Proven ability to manage budgets effectively.
Availability to work irregular hours, including weekends and evenings, as event dates require.
Additional Requirement: An appreciation for artistic work and an understanding of art fair stakeholders' needs and expectations would be advantageous.
Work would be done on-site/in office during regular business hours (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm---or if otherwise arranged with supervisor). Potential for hybrid work model, with 1-2 days remote. Remote would not kick in until performance has been proven.
