Robert Half Payroll Administrator in Lexington, Kentucky

Description

We are in search of a meticulous Payroll Administrator to join our client's team in the distribution industry in Lexington, Kentucky. This role involves overseeing payroll operations for employees in multiple states, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You will be tasked with processing payroll, reconciling discrepancies, and maintaining accurate employee records. This role also entails a deep understanding of payroll laws and regulations, including multi-state tax requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the payroll operations for employees across various locations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

• Processing payroll, including wages, taxes, deductions, and commission calculations.

• Reconciling discrepancies and addressing inquiries related to payroll and commission payments.

• Maintaining a deep understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws and multi-state tax requirements, including commission-related regulations.

• Collaborating with HR and finance teams to maintain accurate employee records and implement payroll changes, including adjustments for commission-based compensation.

• Utilizing strong analytical skills to audit payroll data and commission calculations, identifying errors or discrepancies.

• Providing guidance to employees regarding commission structures and resolving commission-related inquiries efficiently.

• Working effectively in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing confidentiality and accuracy in commission payment processes.

• Utilizing specific skills such as ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, Kronos Timekeeping System, Microsoft Excel, 401k - RRSP Administration, About Time, Accounting Functions, Benefit Functions, Check Processing.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Payroll Administrator within the manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in ADP Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Familiarity with Ceridian and Kronos Timekeeping System

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in 401k and RRSP Administration

• Knowledge of About Time software

• Ability to handle various accounting functions

• Experience in managing benefit functions

• Experience in check processing

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
