We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Manager to oversee various aspects of financial operations in a client in the service industry located in Lexington, Kentucky. The role primarily focuses on corporate compliance, risk management, tax oversight, process improvement, external audit management, monthly reporting, and handling special projects.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies

• Develop and implement risk management strategies and controls to mitigate financial risks

• Oversee tax planning, compliance, and reporting activities, collaborating with external tax advisors as necessary

• Lead initiatives to improve processes and enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations

• Coordinate external audit processes and liaise with auditors to ensure timely completion of audits

• Prepare and review monthly financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators

• Drive special projects such as system implementations, mergers/acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives

• Utilize skills in Corporate Income Tax, Corporate Tax Compliance, Business process improvement, Assess Risk, Business risk assessment, Compliance Risk, Conduct Risk Assessments, Corporate Risk, External Reporting, and Audit Management

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience including public accounting and industry preferred.

• Proven skills in business process improvement and risk assessment

• Demonstrated ability to assess and manage business risks, compliance risks, and corporate risks

• Experience in conducting risk assessments

• Solid understanding of external reporting procedures

• Proficiency in audit management

• Excellent leadership and team management abilities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA or CFA is preferred.
