Robert Half Accounting Manager in Lexington, Massachusetts
Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in the Hi Tech Engineering industry, based in Lexington, Massachusetts. This role will involve overseeing a small team and taking full responsibility for various accounting functions, including the management of the monthly close cycle.
Responsibilities:
• Leading and supervising a team of 3 in the accounting department
• Taking full ownership of the monthly close cycle
• Applying knowledge of ASC606 and ASC842 in accounting operations
• Handling Lease and Commissions amortization
• Using NetSuite ERP and other Accounting Software Systems for efficient financial management
• Managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations
• Conducting regular auditing to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Overseeing billing functions to ensure timely and accurate invoicing
• Utilizing tools like ADP - Financial Services, BlackLine, Concur for streamlined processes
• Ensuring all accounting functions are performed accurately and within stipulated deadlines. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years' experience in an accounting management role, preferably within the Hi Tech Engineering industry
• Proficiency in a range of Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is essential
• Experience with BlackLine software is a definite advantage
• Skilled in using Concur for expense management
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems is required
• Demonstrated ability to oversee all accounting functions
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) processes
• Proficiency in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Prior experience in auditing is crucial for this role
• Proven ability to manage billing functions effectively.
