Robert Half Call Center Specialist in Lexington, South Carolina

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Call Center Specialist in Lexington, South Carolina. The role entails working in a fast-paced environment, focusing on handling customer interactions. As a Call Center Specialist, you will be tasked with handling customer inquiries both telephonically and in person, processing payments, and coordinating with field teams for service requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Handle inbound calls, managing around 50-100 calls per day, and addressing both standard and complex customer queries

• Provide exceptional customer service, effectively managing walk-ins and phone inquiries simultaneously

• Process customer payments both over the phone and in person, ensuring accuracy in transactions

• Assist in generating and managing work orders as necessary

• Utilize various computer programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook to maintain customer records and handle communications

• Coordinate with field teams for service requirements such as water turn on or leak reports

• Manage the front desk operations, serving as the first point of contact for customers

• Maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to the business casual dress code

• Utilize CRM and customer service software to maintain accurate customer records and resolve customer inquiries

• Handle cash drawers and ensure they are balanced, demonstrating strong attention to detail. Requirements • Proficiency in computer programs and CRM platforms

• Experience with customer service software

• Ability to answer inbound calls in a professional manner

• Demonstrated ability to assist customers with inquiries and issues

• Experience handling and resolving complaints

• Experience processing incoming payments

• Proficiency in answering multi-line phone systems

• Ability to handle inbound telephone calls efficiently

• Strong knowledge of multi-line phone systems

• Excellent phone etiquette

• Experience receiving payments and handling cash drawers

• Knowledge of utility billing procedures

• Experience with receptionist duties

• Able to maintain a high level of professionalism and respect when communicating with customers

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work well as part of a team and independently

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
