Robert Half Senior Accountant in Liberty Lake, Washington


Our Liberty Lake client is looking to add an experienced Accountant to the team!

The Accountant is responsible for accurately recording financial transactions, monitoring and evaluating financial activity, reconciling general ledger accounts, and preparing financial reports to track organization’s assets, liabilities, and profit and loss activity.

Duties and responsibilities

Assist in preparing financial reports to monitor financial performance.

Calculate, track, and record journal entries for prepaids and accruals.

Record and accrue payroll transactions and support / monitor payroll tax reporting.

Manage / process accounts payable, credit card transactions, and business tax and license reporting.

Track fixed assets and record related depreciation.

Assist with company billing / receivable activities as needed.

Assist in month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes and reconciliations.

Carry out treasury functions which may include cash reporting and setting up bank transactions.

Maintain the general ledger chart of accounts and ensure alignment /mapping of G/L accounts between systems.

Assist in implementing controls, policies, procedures, and technology to drive efficiency, identify opportunities for cost savings, and support the growth and expansion of the company.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure good communications and understanding of any accounting-related work, and efficient workflow.

Provide back-up support for various functions within the department.

Support third-party CPA for corporate audits and tax preparation.

Support Accounting projects and initiatives as directed by supervisor.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or similar

4+ Years of related experience

Technical proficiency with exploring, implementing and/or using accounting-related software and systems

Strong Microsoft Office skills

Knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures (including GAAP)

Excellent organizational, problem solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the healthcare industry

QuickBooks Online expertise

**once this position is trained up, after approx. 30 days, this can be remote/hybrid as needed
