Description We are providing an opportunity for a Paralegal to join our specialized boutique law practice located in Libertyville, Illinois, 60048, United States. This role focuses on areas similar to workers compensation and administrative law, and also deals with administrative review matters in court. It is a short term contract employment opportunity where you'll get to work remotely.
Responsibilities:
• Assisting with medical records requests to ensure all necessary information is collected and organized
• Preparing exhibits for court proceedings, ensuring all materials are comprehensive and ready for use
• Drafting legal documents meticulously, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards
• Conducting thorough legal research to support case preparation and legal proceedings
• Handling administrative review filings, ensuring they are completed accurately and submitted on time
• Utilizing skills in Workers Compensation and Pensions to enhance job performance and contribute to case success
• Monitoring and taking appropriate action on customer accounts as needed
• Processing customer credit applications with precision and efficiency
• Maintaining accurate customer credit records to ensure up-to-date information is available. Requirements • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in law or a related field.
• Relevant experience working as a Paralegal or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Workers Compensation and Pensions.
• Strong research and report writing skills.
• Excellent understanding of legal terminology.
• Proficient in using legal research software.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of legal documents and terminology.
• High level of integrity and professional accountability.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
