In this role, it will be critical for you to plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. This role's duties will require leading with integrity and reliability and having the ability to manage self and others with urgency, practicality and accountability when providing client services. What you get to do every single day

  • Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation

  • Manage the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is on time

  • Occasionally perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities

  • Guide all operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

  • Analyze, apply and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

  • Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure efficient and successful firm-wide operation

  • Ensure deliverables of self and team meet client expectations

  • Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly

  • Prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, daily cash management

  • Each month, present executive committee and partners with financial reports

  • Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis

    Requirements - BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

  • Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

  • CPA/MBA preferred

  • Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

  • Experience with Consolidated Financial Statements

  • Proven knowledge of Intercompany Accounting

  • Strong familiarity with general ledger

  • Practical knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

  • General familiarity with cost accounting

  • Wide ranging experience with QuickBooks

  • Quality experience with International Financial Reporting

  • Well-founded grasp of Asset Inventory

  • Analyze Financial Statements experience preferred

  • Manufacturing Cost Accounting experience

  • SAP experience

  • Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

  • Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards

  • Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

  • Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience required

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
