Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Lincoln, Nebraska

Description We are looking for a meticulous Accounting Clerk to join our team in the Healthcare/NHS industry located in Lincoln, Nebraska. This role focuses on maintaining the Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets systems, conducting check runs, and maintaining vendor and fixed asset files.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating and maintaining the Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets systems.

• Setting up and maintaining accurate and complete vendor and fixed asset files.

• Preparing invoices for payment, monitoring invoices for appropriate capitalization for assets.

• Conducting check runs in a timely manner.

• Reconciling accounts payable and fixed asset general ledger accounts.

• Conducting month end work papers and journal entries in a timely manner.

• Providing support and assistance during annual audit and producing information as requested.

• Utilizing various computerized and manual systems effectively in the performance of job duties.

• Assisting in the maintenance of the Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets systems.

• Ensuring that value of fixed assets are accurate and follow GAAP valuations.

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly sales tax reports with appropriate agencies.

This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Requirements • Must possess a strong understanding of Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required

• Experience in Billing and Data Entry is essential

• Knowledge of Invoice Processing is a must

• Must have experience with Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Oracle is necessary

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is required

• Experience with SAP is a plus

• Previous experience in the Healthcare/NHS industry is preferred

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines

• Must have a strong attention to detail

• Understanding of accounting principles and regulations

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
