Robert Half Senior Accountant in Lincoln, Nebraska

Description

We are seeking a Senior Accountant for our client based in Lincoln, Nebraska, United States in the transportation equipment manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating, preparing, and analyzing financial information and reports that provide summary information for the management team.

Responsibilities:

• Gathering, reviewing, analyzing, and reporting on financial metrics

• Monitoring bank accounts and cash positions

• Preparing various financial reports and statements including income statements, balance sheets, management reports, tax returns, and reports for governmental regulatory agencies

• Conducting fixed asset accounting and audits

• Making necessary corrections and/or adjustments to receive accurate report information

• Examining accounting information contained in reports and exhibits and tracing and reconciling unusual variances

• Performing complex account reconciliations

• Assisting in the preparation of budgets and strategic plans

• Overseeing inventory reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the Transportation Equipment Manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite is essential

• Demonstrated experience with Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• In-depth understanding of General Ledger management and Journal Entries

• Proven expertise in executing Month End Close procedures

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
