Description
Our reputable client is seeking a Director of Finance to join the company. The director of finance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills in order to be a part of the management team. This may be the role for you if you are an experienced VP/Director of Finance looking for a challenging role at an established company. This is a permanent full time opportunity in Lincoln, NE or Bellevue, NE.
Your responsibilities
Develop financial analysis prior to contract negotiations and product investment decisions
Oversee the preparation of all financial reports
Adhere to local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements
Suggest benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance
Supervise financial planning and budget management functions
Oversee daily operations of the finance and accounting department
Develop and monitor an organizational structure in order to accomplish department goals and objectives
Create and manage five-year business plans along with department managers
Review and maintain budgeting and forecasting models
Take ownership of insurance and risk management
Compare monthly operating results against budget
Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts
Manage the hiring, training, and retention of finance staff
Establish short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
10+ years of accounting and finance experience
CPA highly preferred
Prior casino experience required
Experience with multiple accounting and financial reporting systems
High analytical and extremely detailed
Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, accounting, and finance principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
