Description
We are seeking a Buyer/Planner to join our team in a rapidly growing industry, based in Linden, New Jersey. As a Buyer/Planner, your primary responsibilities will include managing vendor relationships, tracking orders, maintaining purchase records, managing inventory levels, and ensuring quality assurance throughout the production process. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers
• Analyze market trends and conduct research on industry suppliers
• Ensure quality assurance standards are established and maintained for purchased products
• Keep accurate records of all purchases and related expenses
• Oversee inventory levels to prevent stockouts or excess inventory
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery of all products
• Schedule and track projects, ensuring quality assurance throughout the production process
• Archive completed projects and file summary reports
• Communicate effectively with vendors and manage all invoices.
Requirements
• Must possess expertise as a detail-oriented Buyer
• Strong background in production coordination is essential
• Previous experience in a foundry environment is highly desirable
• Familiarity with machine shop practices and protocols is needed
